The lower floor has a main bedroom, a second smaller bedroom, a full bathroom with tub, and an open kitchen/dining/living area with floor-to-ceiling windows that look onto a balcony. Upstairs is another primary bedroom currently set up as an office but can be another bedroom (the photo shows this room set up as a main bedroom). This level also includes a second full bathroom, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a glass door leading onto a large private deck, with open views and sunsets. In addition to the private deck, you also have access to the shared roof deck on the opposite side of the building.

There is central AC, which you will want in New York between May and October.

The apartment was built to Passive House standards by a green architectural firm, making it exceptionally quiet, healthy, and energy-efficient.

10-minute walk to the A/C trains at Utica Avenue, with easy access to Manhattan as well as a direct route in the opposite direction toward JFK Airport. You can borrow a road bike.

The neighborhood is great. We’ve lived in Bed Stuy as a family with a young child for five years and love it. Nearby are great parks (especially Herbert Von King and Saratoga Park), cafés and restaurants—including many on the avenue intersecting our street—and 2 supermarkets.

The whole apartment is available from August 1 to July 1, with some flexibility around dates. Our ideal dates are late august to March 1.
