$3,500/month

Available

April 1, 2026 - April 1, 2027

Neighborhood

Bushwick/Ridgewood, Brooklyn

Transportation

L Train Dekalb / Myrtle Wyckhoff M

Size

1,100 sq. ft.

Light-filled second floor apartment available April 1st or April 15th, just a short walk from the Dekalb L or Myrtle-Wyckoff M, and some of the best bars, cafes, and restaurants in Bushwick and Ridgewood. The apartment is un-furnished and is part of a three-family Brooklyn townhouse that is loved and well- maintained.

The apartment layout is fantastic with the kitchen and living room central, tons of light comes in from the backyard and front windows with large light shaft run through center of building for natural light everywhere.

Officially a 4-bedroom, but realistically and comfortably it shines as a spacious 2-bedroom. This space is seriously IDEAL for two people. The bedroom facing the street has a large walk-in closet which could also be a separate office space/room attached, and there's an extra room in the middle that can be a designated workspace or whatever you feel like.

Ceilings are 10ft high and there is a stairwell to the roof, which has an incredible view of Manhattan.

Lovely street near new spots of Ridgewood and walkable to the good times off the Jefferson Stop. (Greene Avenue between St. Nicholas and Myrtle). It's an old building though which has it's charm and annoying aspects, classic New York, quirks included... with the apartment and kitchen renovated about eight years ago: original wood floors, cute tin ceiling tiles, updated kitchen sink and counters, and refreshed common areas.

Details:
    •    Intercom/buzzer system
    •    Walk-up building (no elevator)
    •    Peaceful, respectful neighbors above and below (who we ADORE!) maintaining a calm vibe is very important to us

Pets: maybe one cat or a very small dog — open to discussion and approval.

Logistics:
    •    No broker fee
    •    $3,500/month rent
    •    $3,500 security deposit
    •    Standard one-year NY lease with option to renew
    •    Tenants tend to stay years (seriously this place is a gem)

Ideally looking for two renters, not three.

If interested, please send a short intro about yourselves. References appreciated, and a guarantor is a big plus

The apartment is available for move in April 1st. << JAZZ HANDS >>

About This Lister

My name is Ellie, I am a filmmaker and creative. We lived on the first floor for about a decade and had to move away during covid - so now all three floors are rented out.

Showing the space is confusing with the current tenants living there (they're moving at the end of March) - I'm open to ideas, Facetime? I made a great video strolling around and can email that or put it into Dropbox.

I am the contact person for issues but we also have a local super who is incredibly responsive and quick. I'm happy to pay/find professionals for real problems (and quickly!) but definitely appreciate when tenants are not too fussy and can figure things out on their own. Like replace smoke alarm batteries, I'll pay you back! I don't know, that kind of thing.

Lister's Relationship to the Space

Rental requirements

Lease terms
Preference for longer-term tenants, but open to shorter term.

Tenants have loved this home and all our previous residents have stayed for maaaany years. Best for someone wanting a comfortable, cared-for, personal-feeling home.

No broker fee, just need first month's rent ($3500) and a security deposit ($3500) to move in April 1st or April 15th, we will send a standard NY lease agreement for one year with an option to renew year after year if desired. TBH all our tenants have stayed over five years, this is seriously a gem.

Please send a little intro email, references would be cool, a guarantor would definitely be a plus... Ideally would like to rent this out to two people, not three.

Pets Policy

Mayyybe a super small dog or one cat would be okay, lets discuss! We love animals but the first floor is super important to us, we would just have to run it by them.
