This is a lease takeover for a classic 2BR apartment, third-story/top floor walkup with exposed brick, high ceilings and great in-unit amenities.

We love this place, but we're moving to Colorado and need someone to take over our lease. You'd take over our remaining lease starting January 15 and renew April 1.

Perks:

- Charming Brooklyn apartment with exposed brick in every room
- The in-unit dishwasher and laundry (washer and dryer) are both very new.
- New AC units in both bedrooms
- The primary bedroom has a large walk-in closet
- Overall the apartment is fairly spacious as far as Brooklyn apartments go. Don't know the exact square footage, but probably around 800 sq ft
- Top floor means great lighting and skylights.
- Location is pretty unbeatable for Park Slope. We're a 5-minute walk to the 2/3 and an 8-minute walk from the Barclay's Center, close enough for good accessibility to Atlantic/Barclay's train lines but far enough away to avoid the crowds of that area. It's right off 5th Ave, so you have easy walkable access to basically everything — a new grocery store Lidl is just about to open a couple blocks away too.

Cons:

Honestly, not too many other than it being an old building. Biggest issue is that the floors are a little squeaky, but it hasn't been a problem for us. We just laid down rugs. The stairwell is also narrow, which can make moving certain items a pain.

Other things to know:

Water is included in the rent, but electricity is separate. The owner of the building lives on the first floor and is pretty responsive to maintenance requests. He's chill and easy to work with. He didn't raise our rent from one year to the next, which was amazing, but of course we can't promise that won't change.

We've got a nice Murphy bed in the spare bedroom / office that we're looking to sell if you want it.
