We are a family of three who will be traveling this summer. We are looking for responsible subletters for our bright, spacious two-bedroom apartment. If you like greenery, books, sunlight, dishwasher - you will love this apartment.

We have two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The primary bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a twin bed (fits one person). We are on a high floor in a well-maintained doorman building that faces Prospect Park. Our favorite thing to do is sit on the living room couch, drink coffee and watching the clouds and birds and trees.

But obviously you are in Brooklyn to do things! Do not fear - our apartment is well-connected. It is a three-minute walk to the nearest subway stop: Q at Parkside Avenue. The Q is among the more reliable trains in Brooklyn. We also have the B , 2, 5 and F trains within walking distance. There are also several bus stops nearby.

But you don't have to leave the neighborhood to have fun. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars within 5 minutes of walking on Flatbush Avenue, ready to take your money. Also a couple of cool thrift shops and an amazing dollar store that will fill the hole in your heart with all the cheap consumables you want. And of course Prospect Park awaits you - picnics, skating rink, lake walks, bird clubs, free concerts, barbecues.

Other amenities: laundry in the basement of the building. Supermarket within 3 minutes of walking. Farmer's market: 20 minute walk to Grand Army Plaza or Cortelyou road. Public library withing 15 minutes of walking: and its easy to get a library card if you are just moving to the city!

Accessibility: there is a ramp in the building and reliable elevators

Pets: no pets, sorry. One of us has terrible allergies.

We have had the good fortune to find amazing subletters during our summer travels. Some of them have turned into our friends and neighbors! Our rent is quite affordable because this is a rent-stabilized apartment and we are happy that we can share that with good, kind people who need a temporary home in this intense city.
Dates are flexible, though we would prefer someone who can take the space for the entire period. Please write back and tell us a bit about yourself.

Rental requirements

1. We will need you to sign two agreements. The first is a sublease with our management company and the second is a more nitpicky lease agreement with us.

2. We do ask for references as well as one month's rent as deposit. Move in requirements: one month's rent + deposit = $5510

3. In addition to the monthly rent, you will also be paying for utilities (around $100 per month depending on use) and a cleaning fee ($180 every two weeks, paid directly to our amazing cleaning person).
