We’re looking for a new roommate to join our house in a historic brownstone near the Sugar Hill Children’s Museum. The house spans three floors with very high ceilings, two spacious living rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a separate laundry room, and a backyard.
You'll be living with two visual artists, a journalist, and an architect. We all are international, Fulbright and Columbia alumni or students, creative, and community-minded. We’ve built a warm, artistic environment and are hoping to find someone who values that vibe and is looking for a welcoming space.
The available room will be open starting in May. The rent is $2150 plus utilities. It is the hugest room in the house, three windows, very high ceiling. The room is the size of an apartment in nyc. Our landlord is a composer and a genuinely kind person. My housemates and I have lived here for years and truly love this house.
If you're interested, please email a short introduction and, if you have one, a link to your social media.
I’m a visual artist and teach drawing at St. Johns university; another roommate is also a visual artist, teaches at Columbia, the third is a Columbia visual art student, and the fourth is an architect. We are three women and one man. Sometimes we host exhibitions and concerts at the house on the first floor, since we have a lot of common space.
