Welcome to our bright and peaceful Art Deco apartment in Hipódromo Condesa, one of Mexico City’s most walkable and vibrant neighborhoods. Just a block and a half from Parque México and steps from the tree-lined Calle Ámsterdam. As a fashion designer and an advertising writer, we’ve created this space for creative living, remote work, and family comfort.
The Apartment
This is a spacious, light-filled, plant-loving home with a minimalist yet warm style. It’s on the second floor (just one easy flight of stairs) with its own private entrance — no shared hallways.
Two living areas: The main living room is cozy and bright, ideal for reading, relaxing, or hanging out. The second living space is a multi-purpose room we use for yoga, meditation, and guests, featuring two twin daybeds that can be used for sleeping.
Dining Room: A dedicated dining area with seating for 4–5, perfect for family meals or a laptop work session with coffee from the café down the street.
Full Kitchen: Equipped with all essentials for cooking at home, including filtered water and a modern refrigerator. Stovetop and toaster oven/air fryer — we don’t have a conventional oven but the toaster oven handles everything we need. Washer/dryer combo for your convenience.
Bedroom: Peaceful and private. Window guards installed on all windows except the primary bedroom — please plan sleeping arrangements for small children accordingly.
Bathroom: Clean and simple, with shower. Half bath off the front living area/guest room.
High-Speed Internet: Reliable fast Wi-Fi throughout the home — great for Zoom calls, streaming, or creative work.
Rooftop Office + Creative Studio
One of the home’s highlights is the private rooftop studio/office, accessible via an outdoor spiral staircase. Up here, you’ll find a dedicated work desk with its own separate Wi-Fi network, a seating area with city and treetop views, and the space we use as an art studio and creative zone.
⚠️ Important: Children are not allowed on the rooftop. The spiral staircase, low railings, and open ledges are not childproofed and cannot be made safe for kids. This is a firm house rule — we ask all guests to keep children downstairs at all times.
Family-Friendly Amenities
We’ve set up the apartment with traveling families in mind, so you can pack lighter and settle in easier. Included: crib, Lalo high chair, Stokke toddler tub, window guards (all windows except primary bedroom), books and toys in English and Spanish. Trusted babysitter recommendations available upon request. Weekly cleaning included — more frequent available on request.
Location
Located in the heart of Hipódromo Condesa: a block from Parque México, steps from Calle Ámsterdam, surrounded by neighborhood cafés, bakeries, local restaurants, and small shops — we have personal favorites around every corner. Roma Norte is a 10-minute walk. Centro Histórico, Chapultepec Park, and museums are a short ride away. 10-minute walk to Cinépolis Diana.
This is one of the most desirable spots in Mexico City for remote workers and families — walkable, green, and tranquil, with everything you need at your doorstep. Open to discuss other dates too if you’re interested.
We are a family of three: my husband is a writer, I'm in design.
Mexico City is our second home, and we feel we live in one of the best locations in a sea of amazing neighborhoods.
We are drawn to great architecture, museums, and beautiful nature.
