Hope you are doing well :) My wife and I are looking to sublet our 750 sq ft furnished apartment to a quiet, clean, and respectful tenant for 5.5 months while we are out of town for a while. We would ideally like the full 5.5 months - at least 3 months will be necessary. We have some flexibility with the dates on both ends.

We have lived here for 3 years and love this one-of-a-kind place. It’s a 1BR/1BA open plan design with hardwood floors and comes with a dishwasher, clothes washer, and sits on the top floor of the townhome, so it gets lots of sunlight during the day* (plus, no upstairs neighbors to worry about!). We work from home about one day a week each, so the space has been set up to accommodate this as well. My wife loves to cook and make good use of the kitchen, and we both love to watch films and TV on our projector system. The bedroom faces the rear of the home, so it's quieter for sleeping. There is one closet for clothes, a chest of drawers, and underbed storage. We have sole roof access as well, which is perfect in the summertime for spending your time taking a nap, reading, or snacking in the sun. And of course, we love to keep the apartment neat, clean, and highly cared for.

The location is superb – you are a 1 minute from the B/Q and maximum 10 minute walk to nearly all of the subways lines in Brooklyn, so getting to Manhattan or around Brooklyn is not a problem. Prospect Park is merely a 10 minute walk away. Vanderbilt Avenue and 5th Av both have great restaurants, café, and shopping scenes, and are 5 and 10 minutes away, respectively. There are 3 grocery stores within a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

We absolutely love our home, but life is taking us in a bit of a different direction for 5-and-a-half months! We would love to see someone make full use of the space, but also treat it like their own home during this time! We would remove our personal belongings such as clothes/valuables/important documents before you arrive, but if there is anything else in particular you’d also like us to remove, let us know and we can see if we can accommodate :)

*The apartment was restored from its condemned status in the 80s into an artist’s loft where the artist-in-residence used it as his personal painting and sculpture studio!
