My partner and I are subletting our beloved furnished 1BR/1BA home in Highland Park from August through October while we spend time on the East Coast. The arrival/start dates can be flexible—there’s potential to start earlier in August and/or extend through the end of October if needed (please note in outreach).

This peaceful, light-filled retreat is perched above the street and nestled in the trees—yet it’s just one block from all the best spots along York Blvd, one of Highland Park’s two main drags. The neighborhood is very walkable, with incredible food, coffee, and shops at your fingertips (Collage Coffee, Joy, Kumquat, Sip-Snack, Donut Friend, Shorthand, to name a few). We're also a 25-minute walk to Highland Park’s other main strip, Figueroa, and just a 5-minute drive from Eagle Rock and Glassell Park.

Rent: $3200/month (depending on length of stay, and can prorate if staying less than a full month)

Important to note: The house is accessible via a flight of stairs, so it may not be ideal for those with mobility limitations.

I’m a documentary filmmaker (she/her) and I’ve lived in this home for the past five years—first solo, and now with my partner. I’m a renter, and we’re close friends with our lovely landlords, a couple who lives in the back house on the same property.

I treat my space with a lot of care—it's clean, organized, and thoughtfully maintained—and I’m looking for someone who will treat it with the same level of respect. During the sublet, we'll be moving most of our clothes and personal items into the basement so the space feels like a clean, comfortable blank slate for you.
