Private bedroom available for short term rent in a shared apartment in the heart of Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located very close to bustling Franklin Avenue and a short walk from the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and Prospect Park. Surrounding trains are the 2/3/4/5, S and A/C.
The apartment is lined with windows on the top floor of the building so it gets tons of sunshine throughout the year. Bedrooms are in the back of the apt generously separating them from the living area and any street noise.
The building is small with 8 units and good management. It is a walk up building (3 flights) but little to no hallway noise and no upstairs neighbor noise. :)
There are 1.5 bathrooms and a full kitchen with dishwasher. There is no laundry, but 2 laundromats are located within a block. The common area is spacious. The TV has *almost* all of the streaming platforms and the internet is high speed FIOS.
The apartment is fully furnished and the available bedroom is furnished with the basics (bed, nightstand, dresser, ac unit).
The room is available starting Oct 15th (exact date is negotiable) for 1 - 4 months.
Rent is $1400 all inclusive. $500 deposit.
Looking for an easy going and responsible apt mate. Someone that is friendly and doesn't bring the party home. Timely payments are key. General tidiness, consideration for shared spaces and progressive politics are also high on the list. :)

There is a basic sublease agreement that must be signed agreeing to pay the stated rent on X date each month. I am looking for someone to stay for a short term monthly rental of up to about 4 months. The sublease agreement is only month to month requiring standard 30 days notice on either side. Ideally though the tenant will stay the # of months agreed upon as it is short term. A $500 deposit is also required which will be returned upon moving out if there is no damage to the apt and no violation to the agreement.
