We're looking for wonderful renters for the newly renovated garden apartment in our building. We live upstairs.
The apartment is an unfurnished 1 bedroom duplex spanning the garden and basement levels of a brownstone. The basement is finished with private laundry and storage and could be used as a media room, office, art studio, etc.
What makes this place very special is that our next door neighbor is huge community garden. There are birds, honey bees, flowers and vegetables thriving next door; it's a piece of paradise in Brooklyn.
A bit about the space:
Garden level: Open living room and kitchen. Kitchen has Bosch and Fisher/Paykel appliances. Full bathroom with tub/shower. Bedroom has a large closet and access to private patio. (Our family has a deck upstairs above the patio and the garden can be a shared space.)
Basement level: Finished floor-through space with a light well for sunshine and fresh air. Washer/dryer and large storage closet.
Utilities: Gas is only the stove, so minimal. Heat, hot water & AC are powered by high efficiency electric mini-splits. (Water is included in the rent.)
Entry is through the garden level and has one stair down to access the front door.
The neighborhood is wonderful. Very peaceful and friendly. Great restaurants on Tompkins. The pool and public library are two blocks away. Lincoln Market and Mitch's Provisions are less than a block away for groceries.
Please note that the apartment is unfurnished! Photos have staging furniture, but the space is currently empty.
We're a writer and project manager/photographer with two kids and an outdoor cat named Simon.
