Start date and length of lease is flexible. Our three bedroom house has beautiful mountain views and is near the town of Roxbury NY. Bald eagles nest nearby and the sight of them flying near our deck is commonplace.

The main floor has a woodstove, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms as well as the open plan kitchen, living and dining room. The attic is a bedroom with a half bath. The basement is finished and has a half bath as well as an extra living room and a bonus room that could be used as an office or artist's studio or another bedroom.

The home is fully furnished including kitchen supplies, a gas grill, excellent laundry machines and a dishwasher. For the right people and a long term lease we can remove our furniture/belongings.

This is a great place to slow down and focus on your work without interruption. The stars are incredible on a clear night, accompanied by the howls of coyote and hooting owls. You can hike on the property and explore the woods and the east branch of the Delaware river. There is also great hiking nearby at the Minekill Falls, Pepacton Reservoir and Peekamoose Mountain. You can ski at nearby Plattekill Mountain (8 minutes away) or at Belleayre, about 20 minutes away.

Roxbury is a great small town with a coffee shop and restaurants and is seven minutes down the hill from the house. 15 minutes away is Margaretville with a supermarket and hospital and everything you could need. Further away, Delhi is a nearby college town with a natural food market, local cooperative gallery, cafes, good restaurants, diner, bookstore, art supply store, hardware stores, and other shops. Occasional trips to Oneonta are good for larger shopping trips, and Margaretville and Andes provide options for record stores, restaurants, home goods, yoga, and book stores.

The catskills are very special and can provide true repose away from it all.

My husband and I live in Berkeley and plan to retire here in the beautiful Catskill Mountains where we have spent many years. I am an acupuncturist and husband Muni is a union organizer. Although we live afar, we are not lazy landlords and will fix and maintain the home via our local contacts.

We enjoy cooking, hiking, reading good books, gardening, swimming in our local swimming holes and going to the farmer's market.
