The apartment:
The apartment is a spacious 1600 sq foot duplex, newly renovated, with all new appliances, including a washer/dryer and central AC. High ceilings, large windows, tons of natural light, hardwood floors and beautiful historic features. The other two bedrooms are located on the top floor.
About the location:
This is a quiet, tree-lined brownstone block in historic Bed-Stuy. A close walk to bars, restaurants and coffee shops on Malcolm X Blvd, and around the corner from the lovely Saratoga Park. Great access to neighboring Bushwick and Ridgewood. The nearest trains are the J train at Halsey St, and the C train at Ralph Ave.
We are two outgoing women in our 30s who keep busy schedules outside of the house but also love a calm, clean, cozy home to come back to. We both love the neighborhood feel of our block. We cook some nights and also host friends for wine and dinner every so often.
Gaby is a native New Yorker, POC, works a 9-5 nonprofit job in office M-Thurs and wfh Friday, and works on creative projects outside of work. She cares about art, social justice, the environment.
Caroline is originally from Chicago, has lived in lots of different cities around the world, and has been in NYC since 2019. She works in foreign policy research and works a hybrid schedule - most days in the office, and sometimes at home in her room.

This is a long-term sublease -- the current tenant is moving out a little early, but the rental lease runs through Mar 2027. Ideally you can commit to a minimum of 1 year.
1 month security and first month's rent for move-in. Landlord requests credit check.
