The space: Gorgeous garden level apt in a newly renovated brownstone on a quiet residential street. The owner is a friend who occupies the upper levels. We are all quiet and respectful of one another and our neighbors. There is a brand new washer and dryer in the unit and the bathroom has a luxurious deep bathtub. The kitchen is fully stocked, with an electric stove, dishwasher, and a Berkey water filter.
There is a large foyer upon entering the apartment that we use for coats, shoes and storage. In the living room you will find an original ornamental fireplace, comfortable couches and a flat screen smart TV (not pictured). There is a very large bedroom with a queen sized bed, large closet with ample storage space, and a morning coffee & reading nook. Lots of comfortable furniture for you to enjoy.
You’ll have ample storage, including access to a dresser (multiple drawers each), al clothing rack, and bathroom shelving and cabinets. Fresh linens and towels will be provided.
The second bedroom is furnished as a home office, with the highest speed Verizon Fios internet.
Big windows on either end of the apartment let in lots of natural light. Hardwood flooring throughout. There is central A/C & heating. All utilities are included. Please note that there is no access to the back yard or any outdoor space.
Location: Excellent location in vibrant Bed Stuy! 10 min walk to either the G (Bedford-Nostrand) or the A/C (Nostrand) subway stations. Nearby bus stops are the B48, B52, B44
The Tompkins Ave. shopping district is one avenue over, as well as tons of food & drink options nearby. Sincerely Tommy and Little Roy for coffee, Macosa Trattoria, Peaches, Warude and Little Grinjai are all excellent restaurants. Great bars like Lover’s Rock and Captain Dan’s as well as Bed-Vyne Brew and wine shop. The YMCA is 2 avenues away and the largest green space in Bed Stuy, Herbert Von King park, is a 5 min walk.
The dates: The apartment is available for at least 2 months starting in Mid March. The start and end dates are flexible within that time period. We are hoping to find someone for the entire period, or for a minimum of 2 months.
Who we are: We are a couple that loves to travel. We have lived on both coasts. We are employed in film and construction. We love our apartment and hope that you will take good care of it and feel very comfortable there. We try to keep our place clean and beautiful and hope that you will care for it, too!
We are looking for: A single individual or a couple. Sorry, no pets and no more than 2 individuals.
This apartment is not child-proof and may not be appropriate for children. Our neighbors are sensitive to noise, so the space can not be used for loud parties, photo shoots or large gatherings. If you're looking for a low key, comfortable home base from which to explore all that New York City has to offer, you've found the perfect apartment!
Renter screening a $1,200 deposit and a sublease agreement are required.
We will reimburse for the cost of the background check.
