Hello there! For your consideration: a bedroom for rent in a beautiful, spacious 3 bedroom apartment in Prospect Heights, available starting June 1st. We are open to and prefer a flexible short-term situation—likely several months and possibly extending up to 9 months. The leaseholder (me) expects to move out at some point in the fall or winter as part of a future housing transition, but the exact timing is uncertain.

The bedroom is quiet, private, and offers enough space for a full bed and dresser, (desk, and bookshelf), with more than enough closet space. The apartment (which is on the 2nd floor) features a big living room, big kitchen, and is located mere minutes away from the wonders of Prospect Park (including the Botanical Gardens, Brooklyn Library, Brooklyn Museum). You would live a stone's throw away from wonderful Franklin Avenue, with its cafes, boutique shops, and friendly bars. To the west, Vanderbilt Ave beckons with speakeasies and other local flair. The Prospect Park Shuttle (S) is one block away. Walk ten minutes south and you are at the 2,3,4,5 trains. Walk ten minutes to the north and you are at the C train at the Franklin or Clinton-Washington stations. Walk ten minutes west and you'll find the B/Q trains at 7th Ave. We have access to a wonderful backyard, an equally wonderful rooftop, and there is laundry in the building.

We live extremely close to a small park with basketball and racquetball courts, a running track, exercise bars, and a small soccer field.

You would be living with two roommates - both men. One is in his early 30s and is a writer and art critic (he is away half the time at his other apartment in Philadelphia); the other (whose room has a separate entrance down the hall) is in his mid 30s and is a writer and tutor. We are both clean, mature, responsible and err on the quiet side. We do not hold raucous parties but are interested in a roommate who could help us to continue making a home out of this wonderful space.
