This room is one of three in a beautiful, classic brown stone in Crown Heights. You will get:

A spacious south-facing room with plenty of natural sunlight (great for plant lovers)

A private office upstairs (the third bedroom and living space are upstairs too.)

This is a truly gorgeous building that features original molding and mill work.

The neighborhood is excellent too - there is plenty of great food and drink just a block away, beautiful tree-lined streets (my favorite activity after an evening hang elsewhere is to walk home and look up at those huge trees, very poetic and reassuring). There is a Citibike station on our corner if that's interesting to you. For runners, we are within walking and running distance from Prospect Park. We are about 7 minutes walking away from the 2/3 and the 4/5, and about 12 minutes away from the A train. There are many bus stops within walking distance too.

We (your future roommates) are two women in our early 30s, one is an architect and the other is a music writer. I always find self-description a bit strange / performative but I'd say we are creative, funny (can you assert that about yourself? Two brave crown heights women are trying! ), and are into the things NYC offers best - music, food, fashion, the HBO show Girls, dance, art, glass blowing, mobile-making, etc. We’ve lived here happily for three and a half years, and in the city for many more years beyond that, and have a room opening up because our third roommate is moving in with her boyfriend. We’re looking for another roommate who is kind, respectful, and friendly!

About This Lister

We are two friends and roommates, one of us is an architect and the other is a music journalist. We are in our early 30s, work hard, and are creative and dare I say it fun, curious people! We like good food, our various artistic practices, good wine, reading, biking and running, and Depop (recently got a tangerine raw silk skirt suit for $25...I cannot be stopped).
