Bedroom and Office in Historic Brownstone Duplex
Rooms for Rent
A comfortable home for one responsible, sociable and thoughtful person in a land-marked brownstone in Prospect Heights with two single mature housemates (both male). The owner of the building (female) lives downstairs.
You would occupy two small rooms (each 12' x 5'8", including closet) that look out at trees from the top floor of the upstairs duplex (3rd and 4th floors, walkup). One room has a bed and the other is furnished as an office with a desk and shelves. There’s a shared full bathroom on the top floor. On the other floor of that apartment is a full kitchen, another shared full bathroom, and a spacious living room.
The culture of the house is intergenerational and art- and community-focused; the housemates are musicians, actors, and writers. We occasionally host pop-up cultural events and dinners in each others' common spaces.
The duration of our agreement will be for one year with the hopes of renewal. The rent will be $1,600 monthly which includes utilities and internet and is negotiable based on your assuming house responsibilities.

I'm a professional musician, with a mix of part-time and freelance work. Hobbies include indoor/outdoor gardening, working with vintage electronics, and home-brewing sake. I help the owner with managing the house.
