Street-facing room with an adjacent workspace is available for rent in Kensington, directly across the street from the F/G.
The apartment occupies the entire first floor of a two-story, three-unit building and gets plenty of natural light. Shared spaces include the living room, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom. It’s lived-in and eclectic, with no dishwasher or in-unit washer/dryer, but spacious and comfortable.
The neighborhood is quiet and residential, with a grocery store, laundromat, and a few restaurants nearby. Prospect Park is about a 15-minute walk, and downtown Manhattan is roughly 35 minutes by train.
Utilities average around $200 per month per roommate. A professional cleaning service is scheduled twice per year, with the cost shared equally between roommates.
I’m looking for a responsible, considerate roommate who keeps things tidy and enjoys a calm, relaxed home. Writers, designers, artists, or anyone creative will feel at home here. Mutual respect and clear communication are the most important things.
This is a non-smoking home. No pets, unfortunately.
Available June 1, with potential flexibility for an earlier move-in (as early as May 1).
Room 1: 73 sq ft
Room 2: 136 sq ft
Closet: 10.5 sq ft
I’m a laid-back male (he/him) graphic designer in my late 40s. I work from home M-F and mostly keep to myself, though I enjoy sharing a meal or a drink now and then. I like art, design, salsa music, vegetarian cooking, and exploring the city.
I value privacy and try to keep the apartment easy to live in. I would prefer a roommate who does not work from home, but I'm open to discussing arrangements.
