Our apartment is steps away from the best of everything the East Village has to offer. Grocery shopping, laundromat, bars, restaurants, parks and public transit are all within a few blocks. Maybe this is your opportunity to try out a new neighborhood, or see if living in New York City is for you.
The apartment is a third floor walk-up with a railroad-style layout. The front room is sunny and the bedroom, or “middle room” is quiet despite the building’s location. We live here full time, so the place is fully furnished and includes queen and twin sized beds. While staying in our home we ask that you be considerate of the neighbors with whom we have good relationships, and our belongings. You are of course welcome to enjoy our streaming subscriptions: AppleTV, HBO/MAX, Netflix, Metrograph, Criterion, and Crunchy Roll, books and magazines.
We have aquarium fish and may need someone to come take care of them once or twice during your stay, we’ll coordinate to make sure that it is minimally disruptive to your schedule. Additionally, we have a lot of plants, only some of which will need watering (we’ll make it clear).
Public Transportation:
F, L, 6, R/W - subway
M1, M2, M3, M14A/D-SBS, M15/SBS, M55 - bus
We are a photographer and library worker (Jen and Elizabeth) looking for someone to stay in our home while we are on vacation.
Please tell us a little about yourself and your plans for the sublet period in your reply.
If you’re local, we’d like to meet in person. If not, we’ll schedule a video call.
We require a $500 cleaning deposit that will be returned as long as the apartment is returned to us in the same condition as when we left.
