Tastefully updated 1860's farmhouse on 5 rewilded acres,
less than 2 hours from New York City. Great energy.
Nestled in a mountain hollow near horse farms, the Appalachian Trail, swimming, bike paths, skiing, world class food, and the Berkshires, this home is ideal for artists and creatives seeking a quiet retreat from the city. Comfortably sleeps up to 6, with three queen beds, a full kitchen (dual ovens, dishwasher, hood), two full radiant tile bathrooms, artesian/filtered spring water, on-demand hot water, fast Wi-FI throughout, wireless stereo, AppleTV/PS5, musical instruments, solar power, birds and nature all around. Lots of nature.
Cooper Hollow was built by a Civil War veteran on land given for his service; he then lived in it the rest of his days. After several years of repair work, we see ourselves as stewards, improving as we go so others can enjoy this natural retreat for years to come.
The house is being offered at $1050/week. Monthly/Daily rates available. Professional cleaning fee is $200 per stay.
Caretakers Dolores and Milton recently retired after decades raising a family in the city. They live just across the road (the only neighbors) and are on-hand to ensure you enjoy your privacy and stay. Owner Michael may be involved with the booking process.
