Bright Fairfax/Beverly 1 BR

Apartments for Sublet

$2,250/month

Available

June 28, 2026 - July 30, 2026

Neighborhood

Fairfax/Beverly, Los Angeles

Size

650 sq. ft.

We are subletting our 1BR, second-story, corner unit in a quiet 9-unit building in the heart of the historic Fairfax/Beverly district. The apartment is clean and tidy, full of books and decorated with care. We do not have any pets or plants.

Large windows flood the apartment with natural light. The apparent is well insulated so even on hot days we rarely turn on the AC but there is a new window unit in the bedroom that is very effective.

We are just a few blocks away from the most vibrant part of Fairfax, where there are many great restaurants, coffee shops and bars. We are less than a 15 min walk from Trader Joes, Whole Foods, The Grove, Erewhon....We are also close to public transportation, including the new metro D-line.

There is laundry in the building. You can also walk up to the roof for a great view of the Hollywood sign and Griffith Park Observatory.

We do not have a designated parking space but we do have parking permits for the street (which is permitted) and have never had an issue finding a spot nearby.

We are looking for a clean, quiet and communicative subletter to stay for the month while we are in Italy. Rent is flexible.

About This Lister

My boyfriend and I are both PhD candidates. I am in school at UCLA and he goes to Harvard. While he spends half of the year in Cambridge, MA, we spend the summer and winter months together in Los Angeles, where we both grew up. We both study contemporary art, Tarik is a sculptor himself but also has a writing practice.

We will be in Italy for the month of July, to visit my godmother and go to the Venice Biennale. One of the artists we both write about will be included in this year's Biennale, so we are particularly excited.

We love the building we live in. It is quiet and the neighbors are friendly but pretty much keep to themselves.

Rental requirements

It would be great to get to know you a bit before subletting, over a FaceTime call perhaps. Since we usually sublet to friends or friends of friends, we would appreciate a copy of a government issued ID, and a $500 deposit. We would also ask you to sign a sublease agreement that outlines the terms of our lease.
