This spacious, recently renovated studio (formerly a one-bedroom) is located in Kensington, on 7th st. between Cortelyou Rd. and Avenue C (situated .5 miles from both the F/G and Q trains) and is just minutes from the Ditmas Park neighborhood. You’re close to beautiful streets of Victorian homes and Cortelyou Road, with its excellent restaurants, cafés, and shopping. The building sits on an exceptionally quiet street that was repaved this year and new Citi Bike stations were just installed a block away.

The apartment features four large windows that flood the space with natural light throughout the day. The kitchen and bathroom are recently renovated and include a brand-new Bosch dishwasher and a restaurant-grade Cosmo stove, along with gorgeous wood floors and ample closet space. A bar-style seating area makes the kitchen feel open and communal—perfect for hosting. A ceiling-mounted projector screen in the living room can be left in place if desired. There's storage space in the building for an extra fee. There's also a covered area under the building to lock up a bike for free.

The building lobby was recently remodeled and is immaculate and well maintained. There’s a laundry room in the building with all new machines, a trash chute on each floor, as well as a new elevator (though you’ll rarely need it—the apartment is on the second floor, right next to the stairwell). The super is friendly, responsive, and always on call, and takes great pride in maintaining the building, from day-to-day upkeep to planting flowers out front.

About This Lister

I am an actor an public speaking coach and bought this apartment two years ago. I am now moving in with my partner so am looking for a long-term renter. My good friend will be the one communicating with you and showing you the space as I am currently traveling, but I will be your "landlord" / contact person! I've been a "landlord" for about 5 years on a different property and I pride myself on being an attentive and fair landlord. It's important to me that you feel comfortable and supported.

Lister's Relationship to the Space

I am the owner/landlord

Rental requirements

The move-in/lease start is flexible. The apartment will be ready for move-in as of April 12th, but I'm open to a start date between the 12th and the end of the month. My friend will be showing the apartment most likely starting this weekend.

In order to be considered (after tour):
- References
- Info about where you've been renting and how long
- Proof of income
- Potential $20 for credit check (won't need this unless you're a top candidate)

Later:
- Lease agreement
- Holding deposit of $1500 that can count towards your first month's rent but is non-refundable (to hold your spot)
- Refundable security deposit equal to one month's rent
- I believe you have to be approved by the board as well, but should be a simple enough process
