We are looking to hire a full-time woodworker with a minimum of 3 years of experience in high-end furniture and/or cabinet construction. This is a skilled position only.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
FABRICATION: Read plans and create cut lists. Work precisely and accurately, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering excellent finished products.
INSTALLATION: Understand cabinet installation layouts and apply creative problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include project deliveries and maintaining a clean job site. A professional attitude and respect for clients’ homes and privacy are essential.
FINISHING: Maintain a clean and organized finishing room. Be comfortable working with both wipe-on and sprayed finishes.
SHOP STUFF: Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean work environment and assist in the maintenance of woodshop tools. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds (let’s be honest — it’s often more!). Track project hours and help with shop organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a woodshop setting
- Proficient and comfortable using table saws, jointers, planers, and other shop tools
- Cabinet installation experience preferred
- Self-motivated and capable of completing tasks independently, while also being flexible and collaborative with owners and staff
- Able to take direction and willing to learn new processes
- Good communication skills
- A genuine interest in design and in being part of a creative small business is a must
- Ability to read shop plans; familiarity with SketchUp is a bonus
