With 12 ft ceilings, letting in a lot of sky, this converted classroom has its own private back entrance and is one of 4 loft style classrooms in this schoolhouse erected in 1900 in Cedar Park Cemetery, one of the oldest & most beautiful park settings around. It is totally removed from any living soul with acres and acres to stroll and explore, but is only a 12 minute stroll down the hill to all the delights of Warren St
Many artist over the years have found their muse here when this was a live/work/exhibit space
Tailored after the cemeteries in Europe, this cemetery was created as a park to entice visitors. Many Hudson River School Painters made this their final resting place as well as famous inventors and titans of Industry. It is verily like walking through a 3 D history lesson.

access to free washer & dryer is in the basement and there is a big parking lot and a nice outside patio as well. if you have pets ask me about another apartment, we have 4!!!

About This Lister

Built in 1900, this building was a school for 50 to 60 years, then a Tool Factory. Bought in the 90's by my partner Artist & NYC Art Dealer Robert Pardo as an experimental Museum, Exhibition & Studio Space, it has hosted many Artist in Residence & provided them alternative live work space over the years.
It retains its original charm even with the additions of kitchen and bathroom to each "classroom".
we keep one of the upstairs classrooms and would sometimes be in residence during the Summer and/or Fall.
