Great for one person or a couple, this thought-out pad is a block away from Washington Square Park and has a double bed and a fold-out sleeper couch.

14th floor, southern-facing windows let in tonnes of natural light and offer great views of the city / World Trade Center at night.

There is fast wifi and a projector with Apple TV (no tv). Full bath, kitchen stocked with basics including coffee grinder, Chemex, Beast blender, and sparkling water maker (no microwave). The large living room window has screened portions that open. Extremely well heated for these cold months. Laundry machines are in the basement, and a drying rack lives under the couch. Yoga mat and accessories also live in the living room.

One change to note from the listed pictures: we've rearranged the space slightly, moving the bed out behind the couch to create a workspace (with a standing desk) where the bed used to be. Happy to provide updated photos for anyone interested.

The 8th Street R/W train is just around the corner, Astor Place is a 5 min walk to catch the 4/6, and the A/C/E and B/D/F/M are all a short walk away. The apartment is in an elevator-equipped, door-person building (and they are used to subletters). It's generally quiet for NY, thanks to the Art Deco building and height above the street.

We hope someone can enjoy this wonderful location while we're away. The walkability and access to the city is really remarkable.

As noted, dates are flexible, especially on the front end, though 12/15 is the earliest possible start date. On the back end, no need to take the extra date in February unless it's helpful for you. We're generally prioritizing those who can stay for most of these dates, especially from 12/22 - 1/22.
