A quiet 900 square foot floor-thru 2 bedroom apartment on the middle floor of a quintessential Brooklyn brownstone with beautiful light and historical charm. Building is from 1870 and features Victorian Italianate architecture: Inlaid parquet wooden floors, two marble mantels, lots of windows, high ceilings, and lovely "wedding cake" plaster moldings.

Rooms are very spacious with flexible layout.

On one of the prettiest blocks in Clinton Hill with mature trees and well-maintained brownstones. Supermarkets, wine store, Greene Hill Food Coop and local pharmacy all within a 3 block radius. Tons of great coffee shops, restaurants and bars including Doris, Hartley's, Locanda Vini e Olii, Peaches, and Otway Bakery. Prospect Park a one mile walk in one direction and Fort Greene Park one mile in the other. Close to Brooklyn Academy of Music/Arts Center and Barclays Center.

Clinton-Washington C-train stop is 3 blocks away, and Clinton-Washinton G stop is 4 blocks. About a 20-30 minute ride into Manhattan, 15 mins to Williamsburg.

Please Note: The apartment has a dishwasher but there is no washer or dryer nor is there laundry in the building.

This apartment provides a beautiful calm oasis in this hectic city of ours. Owner-occupied. Available unfurnished starting November 1st. Price includes heat and hot water. Tenant is responsible for electricity and gas.

About This Lister

My husband and I purchased this home in 2010 and live in the bottom two floors with our 16 year old son. We have a nineteen year old daughter in college. We love our home, our block and our neighborhood. He's a college professor and I'm a writer/journalist. We often work from home.

We love dinner parties and stoop hangs. We don't like late-night partying or letting the garbage pile up. We are happy to grab someone's packages or loan an egg. A lovely young woman who works a lot lives on the top floor. We try to be good neighbors in our wider community.

We like to think of ourselves as mellow and easy to get along with. We have found that if you treat people well, they will treat you well in return.
