Heya! I'm looking for a lease takeover for my lovely apartment located in the Kerns neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, for something in New York during August and/or September. I'm also open to a permanent swap if you're looking to relocate to Portland (I'm trying to move to New York). The lease takeover would be in sometime at the end of October/start of November, I don't have concrete dates yet.
I've lived in Portland for three years and in the Kerns neighborhood for six months. I adore this part of town; it's close to some amazing restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, bars, and cute shops. It's right off NE 28th and Sandy, which are major streets with a lot of things to do. It's easy to get downtown via bus; the closest stop is only a 5-minute walk away!
This apartment is a 3-floor walk-up located in a historically preserved building. It's got a lot of character, my favorite being the arched windows leading to the balcony. It's a studio apartment, with rooms for a closet and storage. There's a pretty spacious and well-stocked kitchen with an in-unit combined washer/dryer. There's also a free washer and dryer unit located in the basement, along with bike storage.
Amenities included:
Mocha pot
Coffee grinder
Ninja Blender & Food Processor
Ninja Ice-cream maker
Essential cooking utensils (Stainless steel pans, knives, bowls, etc.)
Record player with a growing but diverse record collection
Queen bed
HP monitor
I'm not sure about the square footage, probably 600ish.
Rent is $1625 (this includes water & electric). Gas is separate and usually averages to $50/mo.
I'm looking for someone quiet, kind, and willing to be respectful of my space and things. Open to doing a FaceTime walkthrough as well. E-mail me if interested!
I'm a digital product designer working remotely. I've lived in this apartment for about 6 months, and it's been so fun furnishing it and making it my own, but I moved in with the sense that I would eventually be leaving Portland either this year or early next year. I want to spend some time in New York getting a feel for potential neighborhoods and hopefully finding permanent housing.
One month's rent deposit.
If you're interested in either the swap or lease takeover, please let me know, and we can arrange a suitable date. If we're swapping, the rental fee does not apply. That's only applicable if you're interested in taking over the lease.
