A true blue Brooklyn brownstone, this beautiful three-story house has boatloads of historic charm and character with details dating back to 1899. We have a lovely front garden coming together on the stoop, a giant backyard with space for more plants, and a washer/dryer in the basement (with lots of storage/gym space, too). The massive kitchen (fully equipped with two ovens and a proofing drawer no less) is located on the garden level with nice windows looking into the backyard.

You would be the fourth person living in the house along with one man, two women, and two cats. Namu lives and works from home on the second floor. Carey and Yorada live upstairs on the top floor. Your room will be on its own floor on the garden level, by the huge kitchen and bathroom (with a bathtub).

Shared spaces: the kitchen of course, the parlor room fit with plants, a disco ball, and a projector, the basement, the backyard, and the front garden. Bathrooms: there are two! One on the third floor and another on the garden level.

Situated on the garden floor, your room has its own entrance, decorative fireplace, and is the size of a small studio.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

We're a five minute walk from the Utica Ave A/C stop (you can be in Lower Manhattan in 25 minutes). Our block is community-focused, lined with trees and set to the soundtrack of ice cream trucks. Right off Malcolm X Boulevard, we're a stone's throw from Trad Room, Lunatico, Chez Oskar and more.

About This Lister

We're all over 30, easy-going, kind, and tidy. One of us works from home most of the time — each in our own rooms (i.e., not in shared spaces).

The house is great for entertaining and being social but also spacious enough that you can do your own thing comfortably. We're all on the same page about communicating visitors, house purchases, loud music or movie nights, all the normal stuff to be decent and fair.
