Second-floor furnished apartment in a prewar elevator building with a super. (Not accessible for all wheelchair users, unfortunately, due to it being an older elevator with heavy doors.) We have some great neighbors who are kind and helpful in the building.
The apartment has an open-plan main space, one larger bedroom, one smaller bedroom, and bathroom. Currently the smaller bedroom is open for studio or office work, and there is an air mattress available to place in this room. There are also extra storage shelves in the second bedroom.
Our amenities are quite rare in this neighborhood for the low rental price. The apartment is renovated with an in-unit washer/dryer combo and an in-unit dishwasher, which have been wonderful. Big windows and good light in the main bedroom and kitchen. High-quality HEPA air filters in each room. All kitchen essentials and dishes are provided, along with towels, bedding, and basic shower essentials. There's a selection of books and art in the apartment, but feel free to bring a few of your own accessories to make it yours for a bit if desired. (Same with bedding, if you'd like.)
The neighborhood is charming and family-friendly with many nearby shops (including grocery market and pharmacy) and close to both the A and 1 trains as well as the GWB. We are also close to a few parks and nature gardens at the top of the island. It's truly a great location and relatively peaceful and chill.
Looking for a couple or one to two professionals/students who will keep things tidy and more or less quiet (the tenant below us is a health care worker who works odd hours). Please keep this in mind when inquiring; thanks very much! The apartment would also be a good base for someone just moving to the city who needs to explore other neighborhoods and apartments, due to its proximity to the subway stations.
NOTE: We are potentially able to flex on the listed dates. The above dates aren't set in stone. When you write, please let us know your needs and preferences.
Software engineer working remotely. My small family loves our neighborhood here in NYC.
