Looking for someone to take over my spacious room in a sunny 2 bed apartment with large office (was originally a 3 bedroom) right on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy. Ideally hoping to find someone who would like it furnished, but option to not be furnished too. Every room of the place has a nice window!
Ideal move-in is June 1 but flexible earlier or later for the right candidate. Looking for a solo renter 28-40ish, and no pets (allergies). Great for someone who works at home/hybrid, or creative/artist. Rent doesn't include utilities (about 100/mo), and we have a good landlord. Looking for someone who wants to stay long-term/indefinitely, at least 6 months.
It's a 3rd floor walk-up, pre-war building with 12 units in it -- close to lots of great restaurants, cafes, and bars, walkable to Prospect, Herbert Von King, and Ft Greene Parks. Has a dishwasher, and across the street from a great laundromat. It's right between the Franklin C and Classon G trains, and right off the B52, B38, B48, etc.
Roommate Siena (35F) has lived here for 10 years, and I've been here for 4. She's very easygoing and relaxed, works ~8a-5p on weekdays and is often upstate during the weekend. She's interested in art, architecture, the criterion collection, and playing hockey. We're great friends and keep a chill, comfortable, respectful home, which is essential.
It's my favorite place I've ever lived and I hate to give it up! But I'm moving out of the city indefinitely so looking for a great fit. Please include a little about yourself and what you do/how you like to live!
Hi! I'm Isabel (32F, she/her), I'm a documentary filmmaker, and have lived in New York for 14 years. I love my work and it lets me travel a ton -- I also like swimming, tennis, skiing and cycling too (while traveling if I can swing it). I'm moving out of the city for a while so looking for a great fit to replace me in this amazing space.
Roommate Siena (35F, she/her) is a senior project manager and works long hours. But in the evenings she likes to watch TV and old films, play ice or street hockey, tennis, pickleball, etc! On the weekends she's usually upstate at her house. She's clean, easygoing, and friendly, and goes to sleep early most nights. We're both a little introverted and it works out well. We've been close friends for many years, and it'd be great to find someone who is interested in being friendly around the house!
A good reference and socials would be great. When you take over the lease the building will need a month security deposit and some other info for them - can discuss!
