ROOM AVAILABLE - CLINTON HILL - JUNE 2026
Hello! One of the rooms in our lovely home in Clinton Hill will be available starting June 1, 2026 @ $1467/month + utilities.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD: At Clinton Ave and Fulton St., we're on the South end of Clinton Hill, between Fort Greene and Bed-Stuy and right above Prospect Heights. Public transit-wise, the C train is 50 feet outside and the G train only a few blocks away. There are many many more trains including LIRR available at Atlantic Terminal which is about a 12 minute walk. There are also lots of buses along Fulton St and Atlantic Avenue. You can walk to Prospect Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Fort Greene Park, and the Brooklyn Art Museum all easily. The neighborhood is chock full of all kinds of local food and entertainment, including BAM, really close by, as well as two Targets, a Whole Foods and a Trader Joe's within a longer walking distance.
THE APARTMENT: We're a flat with 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor of a 4 story brownstone building. It is a fairly large three bedroom apartment with a big common area/kitchen and 2 full bathrooms. Wood floors, gas stove, big bedroom windows with lots of light in the bedrooms. There is no central air but hot water radiators in the winter and A/C only in the main room for Summer. You have the option to put an A/C in your bedroom if that's your wish. There is free communal laundry in the basement of the building. See photos of common spaces below.
ACCESSIBILITY: We are on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator.
THE ROOM: The bedroom is approx 9.5 x16' (152 sq ft), has hardwood floors, currently has one nice blue wall, is on the backside of the apartment so is very quiet, has a decent closet, and two windows. It is large enough to fit a queen size bed and dresser and bookshelves and a regular desk to make yourself a little home office if you wfh. See Photo below.
OTHER PEOPLE IN THE APT: There are two other people in the 2 other rooms in the apartment (other rooms not pictured). In the smallest bedroom adjacent to the available one lives an LGBTQ legal worker (she/her), who works at a nonprofit law firm by day and does artsy shit at night (or used to?). She is the main leaseholder and has lived in this apartment since 2014. On the far other end of the apartment in the largest room lives a healthcare worker who also does artsy shit at night. We keep quiet hours generally between 12am and 8am. If you are gonna bring the party home or have houseguests we just request that you check-in first. None of us cook very much but sometimes; one of us is a vegetarian but you don’t have to be.
WFH SITUATION: The main tenant/legal worker works from home most of the time in the main living space, mostly typing silently while glaring at the screen. The healthcare worker also works at home part of the time from her room. If you work from home, you should expect to work at least some of the time in your bedroom and allot space for that to allow for the most audio privacy, especially while on calls or meetings. There is enough room for a desk in the available bedroom. See photos.
FURNITURE/ACCOUTREMENT: The bedroom is unfurnished but there are some shelves that can be left up if you want them (see photos). Common areas are already furnished. If you have a lot of common area furniture to bring with you, we can discuss swapping out what's already here but wouldn’t expect to move a lot in. There is minimal storage in the basement but not a lot and also not entirely secure/protected as anyone in the building can go down there.
THE ROOMMATE WE'RE LOOKING FOR: ONE person (having a partner or dates over sometimes is fine as long as they aren't here enough to be counted as an extra roommate). Early-morning or night-owl, vegan or carnivore, your personal preferences and lifestyle aren't as much of a concern as the willingness to live communally (including cleaning communally) with others and respect their preferences too. Must be sex-positive and LGBTQ+ friendly. NO PETS are allowed by the landlord. Plants are cool tho.
We would prefer to find someone looking to stay longer term (one or two years). We have the lease until 4/30/28; rent goes up 5/1/27 another $50 then.
If you would like to come see this lovely space and meet us, please drop us a line by writing to the email below.
First we will Zoom, and then if interested, we can schedule an evening or weekend visit.

We are fun but chill and not bring-the-party-home types.
MONEYS/LEASE: The room is $1467 /month* plus utilities, which are somewhere between $100-250 per month (higher in winter), based on actual bills. [*Rent on lease through 4/30/27, will go up $50/month after that until 4/30/28.]
To move in, you will need to pay first month $1467 plus a $1467 refundable security deposit = $2,934 to move in, and have proof of income to show the landlord, who must approve all tenants. Landlord requires the following regardless of length of sublease: proof of income, Driver License or Government issued photo ID, and a credit report from one of the free credit report websites.
Full rent+utilities always due on the 1st. 12 month sublease preferred. You will need to sign a formal sublease acknowledging this arrangement.
