Hi! We're looking for a few special humans to join us in co-creating a fun, collaborative, nourishing community of femmes and queer folks here in the forest.
The Pearl is situated on 6 acres of beautiful, private woodlands in the Pocono Mountains. The property borders a 10,000-acre nature preserve which you can access directly from the backyard.

🌼 Who We’re Looking For 🌼
This is more than a room rental — it’s a community.
Ideal housemates are:
• Warm, communicative, and collaborative
• Responsible and reliable
• Community-oriented but self-reliant
• Comfortable with monthly house meetings and shared care of the space
If you’re craving nature, connection, and a chance to live more intentionally, we’d love to hear from you.
I’m Simi (she/her). I’m a black queer feminist musician and community builder in my late thirties.
After 12 years in Brooklyn, I decided to create a communal home that feels like a sanctuary—a place where art, nature, and meaningful connection all coexist.
I bought this house last fall and have spent the past year pouring my heart into transforming it into a whimsical, inspiring space for queer community to gather, recharge, and create.
And now, I’m so excited to get to share it.
A little about me:
✨ I love dancing, circlesinging, designing magical spaces, and collaborative art projects.
🌱 I care deeply about ecology, women’s liberation, and finding new ways to build community beyond the status quo.
🌼 I’m a “bubbly introvert”—I value quiet time to recharge, but I also love being intentional about sharing meals, conversation, and creative time together.
As a housemate, I’m all about clear communication, kindness, and keeping our space feeling welcoming and peaceful. I like to have regular (monthly-ish) check-ins so we can stay connected and keep everything running smoothly.
I live here part time. When I’m at the house, you’ll find me writing, cooking big meals, or doing yoga on the deck.
I currently share this home with one other housemate. Mia is a therapist, filmmaker, and all-around amazing human. She also lives here part time.
We are both looking forward to co-creating a sweet home vibe with the new housemates. :)
