We're looking for a furnished 1 - 2 bedroom sublet in Brooklyn or Manhattan for ourselves. We are very organized and respectful.
In an ideal world, we would really appreciate a queen bed, natural light, a dishwasher, and in a central area near multiple subway lines.
We have an old (but spry) cat who we are uncertain about whether we'll bring to NYC. She's never had a litter box issue and she doesn't tear up furniture. She mostly just lays in the sun.
My name is Henry, and my partner Clara and I are looking to rent an apartment in Brooklyn for the months of May and June. We currently live in DC and plan on moving to Boston in the fall, but figured now would be the time to do a bit of a summer sabbatical! We'll be quitting our jobs in April and looking to leave DC the last week of April or first week of May and leave Brooklyn come July.
A little about us: I'm an Air Quality Specialist for the City of DC. I'm looking to use the time in NYC to get a bit more creative in my life: taking a few art classes and trying out some writing. Clara is a data science working as a government contractor. She's much more artsy than me, and has always been passionate about sewing, crocheting, painting, and anything else you can make with your hands. She'll be looking to use this time to make a lot of clothes and create lots of art. All of this to say, we figure Brooklyn would make a great first stop on our sabbatical!
