Howdy! We have two bedrooms opening up in our 4 bed, 1.5 bath apartment located off the Jefferson L. Both rooms look out into the backyard and get direct sunlight throughout the day. Both rooms can accommodate a full-sized bed, a small desk, and a dresser/clothing rack.

The apartment itself is on the cozier side but I feel like we've figured out how to maximize the space. The apartment has a dishwasher and there is laundry in the basement but also a laundromat a block away if that's more your thing (like it is mine). There is one bathroom that has the shower and full get up and then there is a half bath.

Since there are 4 of us, we think it's only fair to rotate chores weekly to keep the space nice. Doesn't matter how you choose to keep your room but we do expect the common areas to remain clean and organized. We all have our allocated spaces for food storage but also have some shared spices and other items for everyone to use. We do not bring the party home and generally like the apartment to remain chill and quiet. Definitely open to having guests and significant others stay with us. All utilities are in my name and I order all the house supplies and send out a monthly breakdown every month where people can venmo me, etc. Utilities range from $75 - $100 each a month depending on season.

We are literally one block from the L so there are tons of places to go out, grab some food, or lounge in Maria Hernandez.

Very important is that I have a small dog (XXL Pomeranian) and he is the only 4-legged pet we can have in the apartment. The space is just too small for anything more. He mainly stays in my room and I am very conscious of pet hair, etc.

We also aren't 420 friendly in the apartment but if you want to smoke on the stoop or the roof, go for it.

Roommates are:

-1 guy (he/him) in his mid-20's who does film editing and works from home. His girlfriend occasionally stays with us for a week or so since they're long distance. Often uses the kitchen to cook. A little more relaxed about organization.

-1 girl (she/her) (me!), 30, works as a case manager in a sober living so am out of the house for 8 hours Sunday - Thursday. Sometimes work during the day, sometimes work in the evenings. My room is a mess but I am pretty serious about keeping the common areas clean.
