INCREDIBLE SPACE - The room and the apartment are full of character, with lots of space and lots of light (plus a washer/dryer).

This apartment is located in the heart of Williamsburg. While there's lots going on outside, inside the apartment is peaceful and lovely.

COZY, PRIVATE BEDROOM - Your bedroom is charming and private, tucked away off a large living room at the back of the building (away from the street).

The super-comfy Queen size bed gives you an amazing night's sleep. There is storage for clothes, a small desk, chair and closet. Everything you need!

Your bedroom overlooks a pottery studio's peaceful garden. The large window is south-facing so you get good light any time of year (black out curtains for good sleeping).

You share the kitchen and bathroom with my lovely housemate, whose room and workspace is upstairs.

- The room has a small closet with a long clothes rack. There are plenty of hooks in the room itself. There's a ceiling fan and a window AC, too. There's also a cute desk and chair.

LARGE LIVING ROOM (shared - but mostly yours) has two large, north-facing windows and is big enough to do yoga, a workout, or just relax. It includes a Samsung screen (not pictured), a couch, coffee table, a desk and chair, a small bar fridge, kettle, and Nespresso coffee maker.

- WASHER & DRYER (shared) on your floor, the 2nd floor.

- KITCHEN AND BATHROOM (shared) are on the third floor, where the other room is. Large skylight in the kitchen (you can see the moon). Skylight in the bathroom, too.

- STAIRS: There are two short staircases in the apartment, one from the street level to the second floor, and another from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor.

- INCLUDED: WiFi, heat, water, electricity. (Great water pressure; clean copper pipes - no lead pipes).

- NOT INCLUDED: a) Housecleaner who comes about every 2-3 weeks ($70 each). b) Any electricity overages due to A/C use.

- CHILL SPACE. This is not a place to party. No pets. No drugs. No couples. If you're looking for a totally solo situation, this might not be for you.

- HOUSEMATE: My housemate lives on the third floor. We have plenty of space and privacy. We like a friendly vibe in the apartment— saying hello in the common areas while respecting each other's space and work commitments.

- GREAT LOCATION. In the heart of Williamsburg, near everything. Close to the L (Bedford), J/M/Z (Marcy) and G trains (Metropolitan). Trains are a 7 min walk in any direction.

- VIBRANT NEIGHBORHOOD: Apartment is steps away from restaurants, bars, galleries, bookstores, boutiques, all the good stuff Brooklyn and New York have to offer. While it's busy outside, it's calm and peaceful inside.

Note: There can be street noise on Friday or Saturday nights. The room comes with a white noise machine near the bed.

We're looking for someone who appreciates the apartment's chill vibe and wants a peaceful place to live for a month.

I have lived in Williamsburg since 1998 and in this apartment since 2002. It is my home. I'm a writer and an editor who works on books. I was a yoga teacher for a long time and I have traveled to Brazil, India, Portugal and England. I'm originally from Canada.
