Hello!

I have a cozy 2-bedroom apartment in Washington Heights on Riverside Drive. I travel a lot as I work remotely and live between here and Mexico City, where my partner lives. For the foreseeable future, I will be spending most of my time out of the city.

I have a flexible situation and want to see if there might be a good fit for someone to rent one private room in my fully furnished 2BR. The room available is the second bedroom, which I currently use as a study/spare room, but it’s fully set up to be a bedroom and is completely private and closed off (with its own doors). My bedroom is separate and out of the way, and will be locked while I’m away.

It’s a south-facing prewar co-op with great afternoon light. I return to NYC for 1–3 weeks every couple of months, so most of the time the space will be yours.

~It has~
In-unit washer and dryer (!!)
Dishwasher (!!)
Microwave, pressure cooker, air fryer, blender etc.
Nespresso and espresso machine
Reverse-osmosis water filter (don't knock it til you try it)
Small but well-stocked kitchen
Top (6th) floor apt but there is a small elevator thankfully

✩The Room✩
Bright and spacious
Queen Murphy bed with a proper comfy mattress
Desk with monitor + printer
Storage (I’ll empty the cupboards)
Peloton + chest of drawers (both can be moved if you prefer but you are welcome to use both!)

✩What's Included✩
Internet + all utilities included (possible small summer AC surcharge as the electricity triples *cries*)
Regular cleaner
Laundry service through Rinse (!!) - a perk through my work, great for sheets and duvets

✩Location✩
Lovely tree-lined street
<5 min walk to the 157th St 1 train
~10 min walk to the C at 163rd
~15 min walk to the A/C at 168th
5 min walk to NY Presbytarian Hospital
~7 min walk to Hudson river and Fort Washingon park where there are lovely running/cycling tracks, fields and courts, it's bopping in summer.
10min on train to Columbia University

✩About the setup✩
I own the apartment and care a lot about the space, so I’m not looking to change it much, so this would work best for someone who’s often out or on the move and wants a quiet, ready-to-live-in space. Especially out of town/state commuters, regular travelers, students, or performers with a busy schedule. I used to be a classical musician myself so musicians are very welcome to apply! 420 friendly :)

I’m really just looking for someone clean, mature, and considerate, someone who will respect the space and also enjoy it and who doesn't mind me coming and going.
