We're a couple heading off to travel and leaving our carefully loved apartment in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn for someone who wants to really live in New York. This isn't just a place to sleep — it's a home base for getting out and experiencing the city.
Step outside and you're 5 minutes from Herbert Von King Park, a 10-minute walk to the Bedford-Nostrand G train, and a stone's throw from two great cafés, multiple delis, a Thai restaurant, and a Mexican spot down Tompkins Ave. Bookstores, bars, and restaurants fill the neighborhood — everything you need is right here.
The apartment itself is a classic Bed-Stuy brownstone one flight up, with beautiful hardwood floors throughout and a fully furnished interior set up for comfort: a Stearns & Foster mattress, a fully equipped kitchen stocked with dry goods to get you started, and everything you'd find in a real home. This place is for someone who wants a cozy, comfortable retreat to come back to after a full day out in the city.
We're a couple who have spent years working in finance and have put that same care and attention to detail into our home. This apartment means a lot to us — we've been intentional about every piece of furniture, every corner, and we genuinely love the character of this Bed-Stuy brownstone we get to call home.
We're not just renting out a space — we're sharing a place we've built with real pride. You'll feel that the moment you walk in. We're looking for someone who appreciates that, respects it, and gets to enjoy it the way we do every day. We hope whoever stays here falls a little bit in love with the neighborhood the same way we did.
We're ideally looking for someone who can stay for a minimum of 2 weeks — this is a home, not a hotel, and we want someone who'll really settle in and enjoy the neighborhood. A security deposit of 50% of the total stay is required upfront. Beyond that, we're looking for a respectful, responsible person who will treat our space with care. Requirements: no pets, no smoking anywhere on the premises, verifiable income or financial references, and at least one strong reference from a previous landlord or employer.
