Cozy, fully furnished one-bedroom in Park Slope available while I’m away for the holiday. Ideally looking for someone for the full stay vs partial dates.

The apartment is tucked inside a classic brownstone on a leafy (though possibly bare by the end of November), tree-lined street just half a block from Prospect Park. It’s on the third floor of a small, quiet 10-unit building and has been my home base for five years — bright, comfortable, and perfect for soaking in fall days in Brooklyn.

The Space
The living room has 13-foot ceilings and three big windows that flood the space with natural light. I recently added a new rug and a standing desk, which makes it an easy spot for remote work. Streaming is available via Apple TV. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking and baking, with a four-burner stove, compact oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, and a wide range of tools — from an immersion blender to a KitchenAid mixer. Whether you’re making a simple meal or cooking up something special, you’ll have what you need. A dining table seats four comfortably.

The bedroom is generously sized, with a full bed, dresser, and ample closet space. While there’s no washer and dryer inside the unit, the building has coin-operated machines in the basement (accessable via the main interior stairwell), which makes laundry simple. The apartment stays comfortable with the seasons. The radiators were recently replaced, so they’re blissfully quiet and keep things toasty. If it gets too warm, crack a window — New Yorkers have been doing that since the early 1900s, when radiators were designed to keep you warm even with the windows open for “healthy air.”

Building & Neighborhood Highlights
The building itself is peaceful and well-maintained, with friendly and respectful neighbors who contribute to making it a wonderful place to live and work. Street parking is generally manageable, and the apartment is well-connected by public transit: you’re near the 2/3 at Grand Army Plaza, the B/Q at Flatbush, the R at Union Street, and the F/G at 7th Ave/9th Street, which makes it easy to get anywhere in the city.

Prospect Park is just steps away, and in the fall it’s stunning with changing leaves and crisp air — perfect for long walks, cozy picnics, or morning runs. The Grand Army Plaza Farmers Market is a neighborhood favorite, offering fresh produce, local goods, and artisanal treats every weekend, and it’s only a few blocks away. Just 1.5 blocks from the apartment, 7th Avenue is filled with cafés, restaurants, and shops, making it easy to grab coffee, enjoy a great meal, or pick up groceries close to home.

About This Lister

Having lived in this apartment for five years, I’ve fallen in love with the neighborhood and my wonderful neighbors. I work for a fully remove movement tech organization and I split my time between New York and Paris. I will be visiting family during this venture.

Fun fact: I discovered this apartment five years ago on the Listings Project and have been using the site ever since to arrange sublets for both this space and my Paris pied-à-terre.

Having used the Listings Project to sublet my apartment several times, I am grateful to have maintained connections with many of those who’ve stayed in my apartment, several of whom have returned for multiple visits.
