I’m looking to sublet my cozy East Village studio in November with option to resign lease in February as I’ll be moving in with my partner in November. I’ve loved living here over the past year—the space itself is peaceful and comfortable, and the building is run by a fantastic landlord with many long-term tenants.
The apartment is on the second floor (just one easy flight of stairs) and faces the backyard, so it’s wonderfully quiet despite being in the heart of East Village. Location-wise, it doesn’t get much better: you’re steps away from a grocery store and a wine bar, a few blocks from Tompkins Square Park, and surrounded by an incredible mix of coffee shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Transit is also super convenient with the F train just four blocks away, the L about eight blocks north, and the M14 bus stopping right on the corner for quick trips to Flatiron or the West Village.
Other perks include friendly neighborhood amenities like a great local laundromat around the corner, and I’d be happy to leave behind an AC unit and a perfectly sized couch if helpful. This apartment is a gem for anyone who wants the vibrant East Village energy paired with a quiet and comfortable home base.
I am the current tenant and will be showing the space upon request and will be working with my landlord to confirm the right tenant.
This sublet will require a security deposit and one month's rent. Ideally one reference as well. Pets are not allowed on this sublet but can be amended if you resign the lease!
