My roommate and I are looking for someone new to join our 3 bed, 1 bath Prospect Heights home. The room ($1000/month) is unfurnished and available with a flexible start date of mid-January to February 1st, 2025. The room is available as soon as mid-January, but needs to be taken by February 1st and would be a 6-month commitment from February to the end of July (end of the lease).

The building itself has an incredible location in Prospect Heights — a 5 min walk from the 2/3 Eastern Parkway stop and 12 mins from the B/Q trains on Flatbush. Also a 5 min walk from Prospect Park, the Grand Army Farmer’s Market, the Brooklyn Museum, Botanical Gardens, and Library. There are coffee shops / corner stores on either end of the block as well as Radio Bakery and Gold Star beer counter right around the corner. We’re a fourth floor walk-up with windows facing south, north and west so we get a lot of light all day long, which is a favorite part about the apartment. We love living in this building — we have friendly neighbors, and there's a shared back patio behind the building as well as bike storage.

The available space is about 79 sq feet with one west-facing window. A small closet is in the hallway for your use. It's an old building and there is a radiator that makes noise from heat during the winter months so this is not the right place for a light sleeper. The common area includes the living room which is open to the kitchen, with recently updated appliances, a dishwasher, and a gas stove. There's one bathroom, also with a window and room for your things. We will be keeping the couch and some other furniture, so there's room to bring common room stuff if you have any, but we won't be bare when you get here! We want everyone to feel represented in the common areas.

Ursula - I’m a 30 year old (she/her) associate producer at NBC! I work in-office 4 days a week and am mostly out of the house in the evenings, but when I’m home I love to cook (happy to share the goods!) and watch movies, etc. to unwind with whomever’s around. Looking forward to meeting you!

Adrian — I'm a 32 year old (she/her) culture journalist who writes mostly about tv, film & documentaries (this is a big watching things household!) This is my fifth year in the apartment, which I have spent a truly unfathomable amount of time in since 2020 and yet still adore. I work 9-5, from home four days a week (in my room) and Thursdays in the office. I'm usually out of the house and social in the evenings and on the weekends, especially when it's warm. Listings Project delivered a gift with Ursula two years ago and we are excited to meet a new addition to our home!

Open to all genders, partial to people roughly our age but that's not a requirement. We socialize in the common area and occasionally work there but primary workstations (if you are wfh) are in the bedrooms. The only thing we ask is open and respectful communication and cleanly use of the space.
