Subleasing my 1-bedroom, 1-bath apartment in a pre-war building in Crown Heights.
Well located: Less than a 1-minute walk to the Franklin Ave 2/3/4/5 subway station (the apartment is not above the subway—you can’t hear the train). It’s about 20 minutes to Manhattan, a 5-minute walk to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and very close to the Brooklyn Museum and Prospect Park. There are lots of great restaurants and retail spaces along Franklin Ave, and a Union Market grocery store just 5 minutes away.
Well maintained: Washer/dryer in unit, fast internet, dishwasher, window A/C units, TV, hardwood floors, lots of plants, and good natural light. It’s a 4th-floor walk-up (sounds worse than it is!).
Good for WFH: The apartment is technically a 3-bedroom, but I’ve converted one bedroom into a living room and another into an office.
I’m the current tenant, work in tech, and use she/her/hers pronouns.
I really love this apartment and have a great relationship with the super and the building. The neighborhood is one of my favorite things — I love running and walking through Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
I won’t be living on-site, but I’ll be just a call or text away if you need anything. I care a lot about this apartment and want to maintain it while I’m away, so I’m looking for a thoughtful, respectful subletter who will appreciate and care for the space as much as I do.
Looking for a single individual or a couple, with a preference for those who can rent for the month of November. I’m seeking a thoughtful, respectful tenant (or tenants) who will care for the space.
The total rent is $3,700, with a refundable one-week security deposit. I ask that you sign a sublease agreement. I’ll also request a recent credit history and full payment at the start of the sublease.
