Super tall ceilings small (but very usable space wise, when I was looking to buy I saw a lot of technically bigger but much less usable spaces) 2 bedroom less than 2 blocks from Brower Park. Tons of storage space (and nice big closets) in the apartment. Quiet. Good natural light. Brand new dishwasher. 4th floor walk-up with laundry one floor above and one floor below (do not need to go down to the basement for it). Shared roof access with city views. Back small patio/converted fire escape (real floor and a little wider than a typical fire escape - it is super peaceful back there surrounded by trees).
The furniture fits the space really well so we were thinking we would rent it furnished but we are open to renting it unfurnished as well (or doing some mix of what is left and what goes). Also open to short- and long-term options but if short-term would have a strong preference for keeping it furnished.
I am the owner, have lived here with my daughter and pup (the dog park community at Brower is great if you have a dog) for 2.5 years and love it, but am moving in to a bigger place with my partner and her cat (she works from home all the time and I work from home half the time and my daughter is constantly creating major art projects so we are hoping for a space with a little more office/creative space and some more co-existing room for the two animals). I do have a small fold up table attached to the wall in my bedroom right now for work from home and there is a free corner in the living room where another desk could be placed (plus if you are a couple without a kid my daughter's room could be a studio/office/guest room).
Fully pet friendly. Great neighbors (everyone in the building is nice and helpful and there is a facebook group for alerting others to any building issues) and clean well-maintained building with bike storage in the basement.
Utilities not included but if you are interested in short-term or do not want to transfer them to your name I can calculate the average over the past 2.5 years and keep them in my name/add that to the rent. The move-in date is also flexible. If you are interested/think this might work, reach out and we can talk details/logistics.
I am an Applied Statistics Professor and researcher at NYU (my research largely focuses on supporting children and families in conflict and crisis-affected regions globally). I have traveled a lot and been a renter a lot and ideally would like someone who treats this place as they would their own, communicates clearly if any issues arise, and loves/enjoys it.
One month security deposit
Can be flexible on what you use to show able to pay rent regularly (I know sometimes extenuating circumstances can lower one's credit and that some jobs are not consistent, same-every-month pay)
Fully pet friendly
