High-end custom framing company is looking for an experienced and dedicated Full-Time or Part-Time Frame Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in framing - a passion for craftsmanship - and a commitment to preserving the integrity of artwork.
o Mat cutting: experience in cutting 4 and 8 ply mats to exacting standards
o Frame fitting: expertise in fitting artwork into custom frames, ensuring precision and safe handling
o Plexiglas cutting: experience useful or to be learned
o Art preservation: strong knowledge of art preservation techniques, including the use of archival materials and methods
o Archival hinges: understanding and application of various archival hinges for high-value artworks
o Mounting processes: proficiency in various mounting methods and materials
o Problem solving: ability to troubleshoot and find creative solutions to framing challenges
o Collaboration: assist congenial co-workers with the variety of in-house projects - training provided as needed
