Personal training, exercise coaching, whatever we call it, is usually not - but can be - me watching you on a treadmill.
The highest value delivered in sessions comes through resistance training - using bands, dumbbells, body weight, barbells, machines, etc. - which produces changes in our body aesthetics, strength, fat-free mass, carriage, confidence, balance, and ability to perform, essentially to physically feel and do our best.
My service is a collaboration with you that I lead. The magic resides in, having learned a bit about you, my precision selection of multi-directional exercises, the order in which they are done, and the 'just right' level of challenge to your system. Teaching you 'the how' of the techniques, observing, tweaking, giving feedback, speeds you to what you want. It won't furrow your brow, but you will be learning - learning your body better - and fully owning your results.
"How fast?", you might wonder. How many of your arrows can you get pointing in the right direction, both inside and outside the gym? Typically, you'll be and feel stronger in just a few days; you'll look like you've been working out, in six or eight weeks.
I usually describe myself as a 'body guy', but am a would-be brainiac, too. Mid-westerner, who has now lived in NYC longer than any other post. High school and college wrestler. Sometime poet. Anyways ...What's it all about? Deep down, I'm a healer.
