PLEASE NOTE: PETCARE REQUIRED FOR THIS LISTING
Clean, renovated two-bedroom apartment in the heart of the beautiful West Village, close to everything. We have sublet for a higher price in the past, but now we are discounting to find someone who will care for our two affectionate six-year-old cats.
*Please reply to this listing only if you are enthusiastic about sharing an apartment with our cats.*
Renovated, open, granite kitchen. Renovated bathroom. Located on a quiet cobblestone street in the Far West Village with a vast, shared garden, where you can barbecue, sip your coffee, or contemplate.
This is a real home, not an anonymous rental unit. We are looking for responsible, non-smoking subletters who will respect the co-op's noise policies.
When you walk into the apartment, you're greeted by a spacious, sunny, south-facing living/dining room with an open kitchen, featuring full-sized appliances, a huge, open countertop with stool seating for quick meals, and All-Clad cookware. The living/dining room has two large windows that look out onto a tree-filled private garden that you can enjoy, comfortable furniture, and a full-size dining table.
Primary bedroom faces north onto quiet, cobble-stoned Bank Street. This room has a large flat screen tv and a large closet for your use (as well as drawers in night-tables and dressers). The second bedroom is huge and is divided into two spaces with a frosted glass door, each space with its own comfortable twin bed. And if you're a book lover, you'll find them in every room!
We provide comfy bed linens (and the bed has a memory-foam top), towels and bath products, good air conditioning, an iron and an ironing board, and WIFI.
Not an artist's studio but perfect for creative work.
Walk-up apartment, no elevator.
Possibility to extend your stay later in the final week.
Experience what it's like to *live* in the West Village, a beautiful, old neighborhood filled with brownstone houses, cobblestone streets, small theaters, boutique shopping, cafes, and excellent restaurants. We are just steps from the famous Magnolia Bakery and the High Line, and all that the Village has to offer. An easy walk gets you to Chelsea art galleries, SoHo shopping, and a dozen subway lines. If you like to bike, there's a Bike Share location on our block, and we are just steps from the Hudson River Park, with a bike path stretching the length of Manhattan. We love introducing people to the neighborhood we've loved for decades!
