We're subletting our 2BR Spanish style house in beautiful, walkable Los Feliz. This 2 story home features a huge, vaulted-ceiling living room, a spacious dining room perfect for entertaining, and a sweet private porch off the main bedroom. It's an incredibly well cared for house with great neighbors.
The house comes fully furnished. The main bedroom has a king bed and 1.5 closets. The second bedroom we can set up however you like — we have a queen bed if you’d like to set it up as a second bedroom, we can also put in a foldout couch and desk(s) for a more flexible office space. The upstairs full bath has original tiles, and a separate shower* and tub. There is also a downstairs half bath.
The kitchen has a breakfast nook, a gas range and dishwasher and is well equipped with just about everything you could need. Gardener service is included. The small backyard is completely fenced in and has a mature lemon tree.
If you’re bringing a car, there is a small garage available, though it is *quite* narrow — anything wider than a Prius would be difficult to park. Otherwise there is street parking, with street cleaning on Wednesdays and Fridays.
ALL UTILITIES (water, electric, gas and Internet) are included in the price of rent.
We use GreenClean LA for housekeeping and we would ask that our subletters maintain and pay for at least a monthly cleaning schedule (about $200 per cleaning, minus tip.)
Super close to everything good on Hillhurst Ave, including All Time, Yuca's, Maru, Jeni's Ice Cream, Alcove, Lou, Vandell, Ye Rustic Inn, Wilde, Little Dom's, the Public Library, and the iconic Los Feliz Albertsons! Easy access to Griffith Park, the Greek Theatre, the Griffith Observatory and the 5 Freeway. A rare truly walkable neighborhood in Los Angeles.
The house will be available to sublet as early as April 1 (we would absolutely want to have someone in by May 1) until the end of September. We prefer a rental period of at least a full month. More photos available on request, or if you're in the area you can stop by and take a look at the place.
*an unfortunate quirk of the bathroom: the shower door does not open all the way and may not be accessible to all bodies.
I am a TV writer and filmmaker who first came to LA in 2003. I now split my time between Los Angeles and my home in the midwest. My partner is a journalist and teacher and an LA newbie by comparison, via Atlanta. We moved into this house about a year ago from Beachwood Canyon. We love to cooking and entertaining and playing good music while we cook and entertain!
Standard sublease agreement required. Pet deposit of $200 if applicable.
I have a cat allergy, so no cats that are big shedders. A dog lives here most of the time so anyone with strong allergies be aware. Medium or small sized dogs OK.
