You and your whole family will be perfectly at home here in our genuinely large, renovated, and extremely comfortable full floor loft apartment in this handsome, landmark-style, newly renovated loft building, just off Tompkins Square Park.

The loft is full of light from our 18 ft. skylight and west-facing windows; it is fully furnished with mid-century modern furniture, central AC; high ceilings, two very comfortable bedrooms (both with new comfy mattresses and blackout curtains), and a high-end sleeper sofa.

Our loft apartment sleeps up to six people (or possibly seven including a baby—a crib can be arranged or you can bring yours): two comfortable bedrooms—the main bedroom and a second bedroom; the second bedroom has twin bed with a trundle bed—two bathrooms, and high-end sleeper sofa in large living room; Thermador appliances in new kitchen; washer and dryer in loft’s own laundry room; hickory floors; vintage bathroom fixtures and another skylight in the large primary bathroom; we also have numerous artworks and an extensive art-book library.

During your NYC visit, you will be located in the absolute best little corner of the very best neighborhood: the East Village (an actual neighborhood!), adjacent to Tompkins Square Park (and it’s three playgrounds), with cafes, gelato spots, restaurants, shopping, beautiful community gardens, East Village and Lower East Side galleries, all very nearby.

The building is very secure, with security cameras; families with children are welcome. Indeed, we seek secure people as our guests here.

Some details:

- Wifi and utilities are included w/rent.

- Weekly housekeeping by our longtime houskeeper is included w/rent; our longtime maintenance person is on call as well; he is an artist and a friend, and he knows our place inside and out.

- Again, families with children are welcome, parents, grandparents, etc.

- The second bedroom, pictured with our son, now has a built-in desk, and is suitable for an adult or teen or kid (we have plenty of stuffies to lend if it is the latter).

- We are three easy flights of stairs up to the top (fourth) floor; seriously, no exaggeration: everyone always comments on how easy the stairs are. There is no elevator in the building.

- Our excellent central air conditioning system will keep you very cool and comfy during the summer, and it is controllable by zone.

- As mentioned, we've rented out our home in the past, and we'll add that 100% of the time, it has all gone perfectly for everyone.

- This is great, private, and quiet building, not a party building; no parties are allowed.

We are a married couple with an 11-year-old son: I am a visual artist, art college professor, and musician; my wife is an art book editor/publisher. We are longtime East Villagers—we absolutely love our neighborhood, the vibe in our building and in this area, and the accessibility of everything by walking, biking, car services, or transit.

We are grownups, and are fluent in French, Italian, and English (and functional in Spanish). We rent out our home on very rare occasions to faciliate some travel.
