This is a warm, family-friendly, and community-oriented home located in the heart of Prospect Heights. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of a well-maintained elevator building and faces a quiet, shared garden space, offering a peaceful retreat while still being steps away from Vanderbilt's neighborhood’s vibrant energy.

The apartment is fully equipped with modern conveniences to make living in New York comfortable and easy. There’s an in-unit washer and dryer, so you’ll never need to lug laundry around the neighborhood. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, full-sized appliances, and plenty of counter space for cooking and entertaining. We also have central air conditioning and heating, which is truly a huge perk for NYC living! I’ll show you how to easily swap out the air filters (they’re located behind a vent panel in the closet) to help keep everything running smoothly and the air fresh year-round.

The building has a ButterflyMX video intercom system for easy and secure entry. Inside, you'll find a spacious, open-concept living room and kitchen, which is perfect for relaxing or hosting friends. The unit includes two bedrooms and two full bathrooms: one with a standing shower and the other with a bathtub. I’m seeking a conscientious renter who will help care for the space as their own: someone tidy, communicative, and respectful who values keeping a home clean and lasting with intention.

The apartment is ideally situated with excellent access to public transportation. It's just a short walk to the 7th Avenue B/Q station, making it easy to get into Manhattan or deeper into Brooklyn in no time. You're also close to the Clinton-Washington C train, offering another convenient option for commuting or exploring the city. Multiple bus lines also run nearby, making this location a great hub for anyone who wants to stay connected while enjoying the charm of a walkable, residential neighborhood.

About This Lister

This apartment is my first home as a homeowner and it holds a really special place in my heart. I've poured so much love into making it feel warm, cozy, and inviting. I've hosted dinners, filled it with art, and created a space that feels both grounding and joyful. It’s more than just an apartment to me, and I hope it can be the same for you. I'm looking for someone who will treat it with care and bring their own sense of home to it, continuing the energy of comfort, laughter, and creativity that has made living here so meaningful.

I have lived here for 5 years and I am looking for someone to enjoy this space as much as I have. I’d love to keep the entire apartment furnished for you, since it’s already set up to be comfortable and functional, but I’m also open to an unfurnished option if you have your own furniture pieces you’d prefer to bring in. My goal is to make it feel like home for you from day one.

The space is dog-friendly, but I am severely allergic to cats and cannot accommodate any cat parents at this time. If you have a dog, please message me with more information.

Rental requirements

This is a privately-owned condo apartment being leased directly by me, a first-time homeowner, so you won’t be dealing with a management company or building maintenance staff. That said, I’m just a call or text away and always happy to help troubleshoot or problem-solve if anything comes up. I deeply care about the space and want you to feel at home here, so you’ll have both independence and support whenever you need it. Chances are, I have dealt with all of the unique needs in the apartment and I want to share how to best take care of it and for you to thrive in the space.

To move forward with the lease, prospective tenants must meet standard income guidelines of 40x times the monthly rent, which will be verified through proof of income or employment. A background and credit check will also be conducted as part of the application process to ensure a responsible and respectful living environment. First month’s rent ($5,500) and a one-time move-in security deposit ($500) will be required upon signing.

You’ll be responsible for setting up and paying for your own Con Edison (electricity) and Verizon (internet) accounts. Heat and hot water are included throughout the building. Since I’ll be attending grad school out of state during the lease, I may occasionally ask for your help collecting any important mail or packages that arrive for me at the building.

This apartment is a rare find for someone seeking comfort, community, and convenience in Brooklyn. The spacious layout, natural light, and thoughtful amenities make it a welcoming place to call home. With its prime location in Prospect Heights, access to multiple train lines, and proximity to parks, shops, and cafes, it offers the best of city living in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood. I'm looking for someone to move in starting August 4th 2025, with some flexibility for the right tenant. Ideally, I'm seeking a two-year lease, but open to discussing based on fit and timing.
