We’re looking for a short-term 1-bedroom sublet (2–3 months) starting around January 3–10, while we relocate to New York and search for a long-term place.
The ideal apartment would be:
a) Furnished, bright, and clean
b) With a comfortable desk or workspace (one of us works from home, the other often from a coworking space)
c) Located in a quiet neighborhood with easy subway access to Manhattan
Preferred areas:
a) Manhattan: Upper West Side, Midtown East, East Village, South Harlem
b) Jersey City: Hamilton Park, Downtown, or other walkable areas
c) Open to other great neighborhoods with a quick commute to Manhattan
Budget: up to $3,500/month, depending on location and amenities.
We don’t smoke, don’t party, and don’t have pets (unfortunately).
We’re Lena (she/her) and Alex (he/him) — a couple relocating to New York in early January after receiving our EB-1 visas (for individuals with extraordinary ability).
We’ve spent the last few years living between Europe and South America, running our own businesses and working remotely — Lena in PR & branding, Alex in data analytics.
We’re both educated, responsible, and the kind of tenants who actually read building rules (and follow them).
We love good coffee, long city walks, and playing tennis.
We’re happy to provide references, proof of income, or jump on a short video call to say hi.
