Two Furnished Rooms Available in Epic Rockaway Beach House for Short or Long Term Sublet Starting Nov 1

Get away from the grind of the city without really having to leave it at all! Perfect place for a surfer, beach lover, writer or a person just looking to enjoy more space, plentiful parking, morning and sunset walks on the beach and by Jamaica Bay. Could also be a perfect beach crash pad in addition to your Brooklyn or Manhattan apartment. It’s a huge two unit, two story, seven bedroom house.

Two Rooms for Sublet:

Smaller “middle room”. Has bed/couch, desk, drawers, and two closets. Plenty of light. Available March 7-31. $300 a week/$1000 mo + utilities (vary on time of year)

Larger room (with surfboard in the window). Tons of light. Furnished with a desk, desk chair, bed, and dressers. There is ample closet space. $400 a week/$1250 mo + utilities (vary on time of year)

There is a backyard with a fire pit (and gardening capabilities in the spring!), access to yoga/workout room, washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen (in terms of equipment), basement for bike and surfboard storage, and a garage for more, but limited storage. If you’ve never tried surfing, I have some rental boards you can use free of cost.

Who you will live with: I am a surf coach and I travel internationally quite a bit. I live upstairs when I am in NY but split time between the beach and Manhattan. Downstairs, your roommates are quiet and stick to themselves. We have a household text feed via Signal to determine chores, who uses laundry, workout room, bikes, etc.

Pets: I could be open to a small dog or a cat. No medium to large dogs. No multiple pets.

Transportation: Street parking is free and plentiful. A Train at 67th St is two blocks away. There is a free shuttle to the ferry at 108th St. Close to JFK Airtrain. LIRR Far Rockaway is a 15 minute drive.

Shopping/Groceries: Stop n Shop is 4 blocks away. Locals Coffee Shop. Super Burrito. Vino by the Sea. Cuisine by Claudettes. Breakwater Surf. Tiki Bar. Drycleaning. These are the shops nearest to us within a 5-10 minute walk. When you go up into the 90s there is even more available.

What I’m looking for: quiet, non-partying, intellectual types. It’s a great place for someone who has remote capabilities with their job. It will be first come, first serve. I can show the place if it works out time-wise, but definitely more excited about people who can see how awesome the place is from the pictures and are hyped to move forward virtually.
