Tired of the city life and need a change of scenery? Work for Frames on Wheels and move to the Berkshire Mountains. We are looking for an Experienced Custom Picture Framer with at least 2 years of experience in a full service frame shop.
Our employees are involved in every step of the process from designing alongside our customers to joining the frames in the back of the store. The ideal candidate would have the opportunity to step into a managerial position in the future.
As a Custom Framer, you will work on customer artwork from posters to needlework to 3D objects, and all framed to conservation standards. Familiarity with Lifesaver Custom Framing software, our POS software, is a plus, but not necessary.
We are offering a base pay of $18-$25 dependent on experience. During holiday seasons, we offer holiday pay. After 1 year, you will be eligible for 2 weeks PTO and quarterly bonuses.
Overview of Skills:
- Familiar with the design process
- Experience working with customers
- POS operations
- Knowledge of frame suppliers and materials
- Familiar with custom frame manufacturing from start to finish
- An eye for detail, catching even the slightest piece of dust
- Ability to work with a small team
- Ability to move and lift up to 50lbs. occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to work up to 33 hours including Saturdays from 10am - 3pm

Frames on Wheels is a custom picture framing shop in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The owner has been a framer for 25 years, but the shop itself has been the local go-to full service frame shop since 1985.
We are located in the primary business and shopping district in Downtown Great Barrington, steps away from coffee shops and restaurants. Our current store hours are Tuesday-Friday from 10-5 and Saturday from 10-3.
